The Mechanical Engineer shall manage Mechanical engineering works & team from project start to finish which encompasses tender preparation, submission, clarification, system design, budgeting, project management, site coordination, client management and worker management with a strong leadership and organizational skills.

The scope shall encompass the following:

Job description:

  • Responsible in managing all Mechanical engineering works for the projects from concept stage, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration, and project management to project completion.
  • Lead and manage the team including performance appraisal and manpower planning for the project.
  • Prepare scope of work, sub-contracts, and customer proposals including Preliminary Design and Tender preparation, submission and Tender Clarification follow up for Mechanical works.

The Project Manager shall be in charge of leading the project team and managing the project to completion accordingly to project schedule, including resolving of operational issues and liaising with clients, subcon, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

 The job scope shall encompass the following:

  • Prepare Project schedule, forecasting engineering activities and procurement of materials required for project to ensure timely completion of project.

  • Provide administrative support for site personnel including site-related documentation and record management.
  • Administer transmittal documents, controlling the numbering, filing, sorting and retrieval of electronically stored and hard copy project documentation.
  • Ensure controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are submitted to the appropriate parties.
  • Notify personnel of updated document versions and how to access them.
  • Plan and organize internal and external meetings.

  • Perform regular inspections pertaining to Welding and Pipefitting projects.

  • Report outcomes and findings of all inspection works to Project Team on a regular basis to keep them updated on all quality checks and project progress.
  • Provide advice and exercise any/all correction actions for any faults or issues discovered at site.

Job description:

  • Produce and prepare technical drawings such as detailed shop drawings, fabricate drawings and as-built drawings as per contract specifications.
  • Coordinate, review and verify drawings including owner & subcontractor’s drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines.
  • Update and comply with the code of practice on electrical, mechanical as required.

Safety Coordinator

 

Job description:

  • Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure safe work practices are carried out accordingly.
  • Liaise with client/main contractor on all site safety matters.
  • Assist the Project Manager in all aspect of project and attend site meetings.
  • Ensure all safety and quality assurance procedures and certifications are up to date and adhere to the requirements set out by the relevant regulatory bodies and compliant to the Contract work scope.
  • Liaise with site staff, Project engineers/coordinators and regulatory bodies on all safety and health issues such as accident reporting, investigations and propose recommendations.
  • Perform risk assessment, job safety analysis, safety procedures, documentation of safety records. 
  • Any other assignments as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Construction industry.
